Jia-Huan Liew
I am a freshwater ecologist at with an interest in animal assemblages and their interactions with the environment. After completing my PhD at the National University of Singapore, I spent some time as a postdoc in The University of Hong Kong and subsequently took up an Assistant Professor position in Lingnan University, Hong Kong. I joined the University of Tasmania as Lecturer in Freshwater Animal Ecology in January 2024. My research commonly focusses on food webs, where I use a mix of empirical data (e.g., stable isotope analysis) and modelling to gain insights into energy/carbon flows.
