Katie Turlington

Katie is a PhD Candidate at the Australian Rivers Institute, Griffith University, specialising in freshwater ecology and ecoacoustics. Katie’s research explores how ecoacoustics and machine learning (both supervised and unsupervised learning) can be used to understand and monitor freshwater ecosystems, with a focus on optimising data processing methods to establish sound as a tool for ecological health assessment.
