Jean Dind
Jean Dind is a floodplain ecologist with a keen interest in how environmental water can be used to sustain and restore freshwater-dependent ecosystems. He is currently working as a Project Officer with the North Central Catchment Management Authority, participating in the planning, delivery and monitoring of environmental water at Gunbower Island as part of The Living Murray program.
After 7 years in the field of environmental water, he’s still amazed at how floodplains and wetlands often respond to the arrival of water.
He enjoys ‘environmental sleuthing’ most of all, such as trying to understand the causes and effects of particular natural events. And if there’s fieldwork associated with that, all the better.
